During this professional fair, a specialized fair for Europe where only the parquet sector is targeted, for the very first time a competition was held in order to find Europarket’s most innovative product. There were no less than 28 participants that were selected for the final round. Their products were exhibited on a central location in hall 3, upon which a professional jury rewarded the most innovative product with a gold, a silver and a bronze Award.

 

 

“This Silver Award, the top prize except one, must in fact be considered as nothing less than a victory. The Gold Award went to a technical product (Henkel with its low-dust particle levelling agent Thomsit RX 20), and as such bears no relationship to flooring products in themselves. To us, this is another confirmation Par-ky is on the right track with its top design floors under the Silencioso-collection”, says marketing manager Karl Iserbyt.

“Silencioso is an illustration of our constant striving for innovation”, Iserbyt continues. “This product illustrates the many-sided possibilities of veneer hardwood floors. At the heart of the product one finds a robust and water resistant 12 mm HDF board. On this board, only the finest wood is glued. The wood is protected by no less than 8 layers of varnish. To the bottom of the plank, a 2 mm thick sheet of cork is applied, which results in perfect acoustic performances. Thanks to a finish with matt varnish the floor gets a through and through solid look. With this 15 mm thick floor with integrated sound barrier, we not only introduce acoustic improvements, but also speed up the installation, thanks to an integrated subfloor.”

 

 

Last year, Par-ky mainly emphasized the more exotic wood species, such as Imbuia, Muirapiranga, Black Fraké, Colorado Rosewood, Ebony Macassar, Zebrano... Now it expanded its collection considerably by the introduction of Oak, white Oak, Cherry, Brown Walnut, Teak and Afzelia Doussié. In the brushed version, both Oak and white Oak are available.

 

“The format is elegant as well. Every plank measures 1,800 mm by 120 mm. The total thickness is 15 mm. Both the short and the long side are equipped with an elegant ‘micro bevel’, which is protected by the well-tried TAS (Total Aqua Seal). At the bottom, the modified Uniclic profile guarantees an immaculate installation and the superior Par-ky varnishes guarantee protection against micro-scratches, static electricity and also provide the customer with an extraordinary easy maintenance. The varnish finish is moreover matt, which results in a beautiful, oily look.”
